Synopsis:
In 1999, Jeferson, an ordinary high schooler, starts receiving enigmatic audio files online. The transmissions forewarn of a cataclysmic turning point in 2165: the abduction of Michele Medeiros and the sparks of war in Porto Zero Um—one of the last surviving city-states after climate disasters decimated eighty percent of the global population. As the timeline draws near, Jeferson realizes he is the only one who can change the fate of the future.

Tales of Tomorrow is a science fiction feature written and directed by Pedro de Lima Marques. The narrative weaves between two intense, contrasting timelines: the year 1999, on the brink of the feared Millennium Bug, and the post-apocalyptic world of 2165, where the very survival of humanity hangs by a thread.

The film is a production of Bactéria Filmes, co-produced by Druzina Content and in association with the post-production studio Forno FX. Distribution is handled by Europa Filmes, in partnership with Araçá Filmes and Cavídeo, with funding from Fumproarte (Porto Alegre Municipal Department of Culture).

Since its debut, Tales of Tomorrow It has been accumulating international recognition: it has already been part of 30 official selections in 13 countries, with 18 international awards, including eight trophies of Best Sci-Fi Movie. In 2022, it won the coveted Best Visual Effects award at the Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro (Grande Otelo Award), cementing its status as a standout in national genre cinema.
