Directed by Pedro de Lima Marques and Daniela Israel, Entre Nós – Ivo Bender it was recorded in 2011 and premiered at the prestigious Porto Alegre em Cena festival that same year. Influenced by the theatre of the absurd, Ivo Bender began writing in the 1960s, leaving an indelible mark on Brazilian dramaturgy. His most emblematic work, A Trilogia Perversa (1988) transposes three Greek myths to different historical periods in Rio Grande do Sul, masterfully exploring social commentary, biting humor, and elements of the fantastic. Bender passed away in 2018 at the age of 82, but his body of dramatic work remains alive, inspiring new generations and reaffirming his essential place in Brazilian theater culture.
